The new Iris Videoscopes, offered by Medit Inc., are a smaller portable version of the heavy duty Iseries videoscopes. The Iris videoscopes feature the same high quality Sony HYPER CCD video camera chip in the tip, a durable tungsten braided insertion probe, and simple image and video capture to a memory card. But they also feature the added benefit of a portable Li-ion battery, compact 3.5” VGA monitor, and 360 degree tip articulation, which open up a wide range of inspection areas.


In order to simplify inspections, the new Iris videoscopes feature simple capture buttons for freeze frame, 3.5x digital zoom, image capture, and video capture, to a standard SD memory card (up to 32GB), clear and easy to understand on-screen menus, a high resolution 3.5” VGA display for excellent image quality, a light 3lbs weight, the ability to rotate the monitor, and integrated LED lights built into the body, not the tip, with illumination control, and over 5000 hours of operation.

Additional features for the Iris videoscopes include 4-way tip articulation, controlled manually by knobs on the hand piece, which can be quickly rotated in the desired direction, instead of waiting for slower motorized “joysticks”. There is also a rechargeable Li-Ion battery which provides 2 hours of portable use, a backup AC power adapter, video output to an external Monitor, if you need something larger to display the image on, an ergonomic design with shock absorbing rudder sides, and a 180 degree rotating monitor. For dangerous inspection areas, an optional Non-Conductive sheath, and resin coating is available upon request.

NOTE: The 8mm and 6mm diameter IRIS Videoscopes feature focusable lenses, allowing you to manually adjust the focal range. They are also removable for a wide range of field of views, inspection areas, and optional 90 degree prism lenses.
